Although compared to material and energy-intensive industries, our environmental impact is already small, we still strive to make our internal processes as eco-friendly as possible. Our goal is to keep carbon emissions and resource consumption in the VHV Group aslow as possible.
Six guiding principles
To help achieve our climate goals, the executive boards of the VHV Group have summarised our environmental policy in six guiding principles. The heart of this environmental policy is an environmental management system that is ISO 14001 certifiable. It allows us toaddress the ecological sustainability goals systematically.

The VHV Group has offset its direct emissions as of December 31, 2024, its fleet management activities in 2025, and the energy it purchased in 2025.

We rely on energy-efficient technology and optimised processes to sustainably reduce our electricity consumption and make our working environment climate-friendly.
Gas and heat consumption
With modern heating technologies and sustainable solutions, we are reducing our gas and heat consumption and thus contributing to climate protection.
Waste
Less is more: we minimise waste through recycling, reuse and innovative concepts. This is our contribution to a clean and environmentally conscious working environment.
Paper and water consumption
Saving resources: Digitalised processes and careful use of water and paper help us to reduce consumption to a minimum. This is how we protect the environment and act sustainably.

As far back as the beginning of 2015, we were active in regional and local networks aimed at sustainable environmental and resource protection.
