Environmental aspects in everyday work
Compared to material- and energy-intensive industries, we have less impact on the environment – but we still deal with the environmental impact of our activities. The VHV Group takes environmental aspects into account in selected internal processes. These include, for example, measures already implemented to record and reduce CO₂ emissions and to make efficient use of resources.
Environmental Policy Guidelines at VHV Group
The Management Boards of the VHV Group have set out the principles of our environmental policy in a series of guidelines. For the defined scope, we use an internal environmental management system whose structure and processes are aligned with the requirements of ISO 14001. We are not currently certified under ISO 14001.

Measures already implemented
Power consumption
We rely on energy-efficient technology and optimised processes to reduce our electricity consumption.
Gas and heat consumption
By using modern heating technologies and alternative solutions, such as geothermal energy, heat pumps, and optimized heating systems, we are reducing our consumption of natural gas and heating energy.
Waste
We reduce our waste generation through recycling and reuse.
Paper and water consumption
By digitalizing our processes, we reduce our consumption of paper and water.
Other milestones
As far back as the beginning of 2015, we were active in regional and local networks aimed at sustainable environmental and resource protection.
